Hello, I am Taylor Smith,
I am a lifelong musician and Certified Piano Technician with over 20 years experience working on the finest pianos in our city. After spending decades as a pianist one day I found myself hitting a plateau, and I couldn’t improve my touch no matter how much I practiced.
Now, rewind the clock 15 years and there I was standing in my living room watching my brand new grand piano being delivered. I was so excited. I loved this piano and played it for hours every day. I had it tuned regularly, but nobody ever told me that the felts in my piano were becoming worn and the more I played it! In fact, the wear and tear was accelerating which is why I couldn’t improve my touch. This was my introduction to the world of piano technology and the pain it causes pianists when your only piano is one that just doesn’t work anymore.
Fast forward to today, I met a great technician who helped me fix my piano and he became my mentor. Along this journey I fell in love with helping others improve their piano. Over the next decade I studied piano technology, attended factory trainings, joined a piano guild, got certified, and am now leading a team of technicians who are all focused on one thing: helping you enjoy your piano at the highest possible level.
